Every piece of furniture is built and finished individually. The joints are precision cut and hand fitted. The finish is hand rubbed oil and varnish or french polished shellac. Each piece is signed and dated.<span class="style4">

figured hardwoods sourced from FSC certified dealers who buy only
from managed, renewable forests</span> </span>
<font face="Trebuchet MS" color="#C0C0C0">- quarter-sawn white oak, cherry, maple and walnut. I don't use plywood or veneers and limit the use of imported woods, such as mahogany and teak. The boards for each piece are carefully selected to match figure, pattern and grain. If desired, I will show the lighter shaded "sap-wood" in cherry and walnut tabletops because of the wonderful color patterns it creates.</font></p>

The Arts & Crafts Movement gained followers in the United States through the efforts of Gustav Stickley, The Roycrofters, and many major architects at the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries.</font></p>

The use of this term reflects the influence of traditional furnishings and interiors from the American Southwest, which had many features in common with the earlier British Arts and Crafts forms. Charles and Henry Greene were important Mission style architects working in California. Mission Style interiors were often embellished with Native American patterns, or actual Southwestern Native American artifacts such as rugs, pottery, and baskets.</font></p>
