En revanche, elle propose un dépistage permettant un bilan organique, biologique et neuropsychologique. Il est alors facile pour l'iridologue compétant de déceler, par exemple, un terrain immuno déficient avant même que n'apparaissent les premiers symptômes d’une grave maladie, ou autre exemple, un terrain dépressif pouvant expliquer une fatigue mal définie etc. </font><font size="3" color="#00008c" face="Times New Roman,Georgia,Times">Et c'est là un des avantages de l'iridologie, celui de la prévention. Car le diagnostic classique de l'urgence reste du domaine médical à travers d'autres approches. Le dépistage irien est aussi très intéressante dans l'étude des causes profondes des perturbations neuropsychiques, caractérielles et comportementales.<br>

C’est déjà une première relation avec le corps. L’iris est richement innervé, plus de 500 000 filaments nerveux y aboutissent, c’est une deuxième relation avec le corps.<br>

Pour de soigner, mais avant tout pour maintenir l'état de santé, la tradition s'est toujours, et en premier lieu, référée à la nature du terrain individuel. Claude Bernard, le célèbre physiologiste lyonnais déclarait dans les années 1850 : « Le microbe n'est rien, le terrain est tout »; Pasteur montre, dans une expérience sur le choléra de la poule, que l'affection microbienne est en rapport direct avec le terrain. Plus tard, Léon Vannier, éminent physiologiste rouennais, définit, dans son ouvrage « La doctrine de l'homéopathie Française », l'humain en fonction de son type et de son tempérament; il évoque la notion de constitution d'un sujet par l'observation de sa typologie et parle dans le même ouvrage du « tempérament »</font></td>
