<p class='tidbit'>One of the first Shaking Quakers was Ann Lee. During a long imprisonment for her religious beliefs, she had a revelation that she was the Second Coming of Christ, the vital female component of God the Father-Mother. Renaming herself "Mother" Ann, she became the official leader of the Shakers in 1772.</p>
