<p>The 2011:2 issue includes translations of an extract from <strong>Daniel Sjölin</strong>'s mischievous yet painful self-analysis <cite>The World's Last Novel</cite>, an extract from <strong>Klas Åmark</strong>'s <cite>Neighbour of Evil</cite>, an essay on <strong>Selma Lagerlöf</strong>'s classic <cite>The Wonderful Adventures of Nils</cite>, a report from a workshop on translating <strong>Jonas Hassen Khemiri</strong>, a brief history of the first 25 years of <strong>SELTA</strong>, and selections from a new poetry suite by <strong>Ingela Strandberg</strong>.</p>

<p>Our 2011:1 issue features extracts from <cite>Waste</cite>, which won the 2010 August Prize for <strong>Sigrid Combüchen</strong>; there are two newer authors to discover (<strong>Jonas Karlsson</strong>, one of Sweden's busiest actors, and <strong>Hannele Mikaela Taivassalo</strong>, a Finland-Swedish writer). We also present Anna Paterson's interview with <strong>Henrik Berggren</strong> on his new biography of <strong>Olof Palme</strong>, and our reporters bring you their impressions of the <strong>2010 Gothenburg Book Fair</strong>.</p>

<p>Our 2010:2 issue features one of Sweden's foremost crime writers, <strong>Håkan Nesser</strong>; one of the doyennes of Swedish literary fiction, <strong>Agneta Pleijel</strong>; the work of three Swedish poets - the witty esoteric games of <strong>Göran Printz-Påhlson</strong>, the warm social conscience and meditation on ageing offered by <strong>Ragnar Thoursie</strong>, and a Sapphic voyage through the landscape of the imagination from <strong>Eva-Stina Byggmästar</strong>. There are also tributes to the lives of Printz-Påhlsson and Thoursie.</p>

<p>Our 2010:1 issue is a special dedicated to Swedish Crime Fiction. <strong>Anna Paterson</strong> presents an overview of <strong>Kerstin Ekman</strong>'s crime fiction work, and we offer several extracts in translation. <strong>Paul Engles</strong> discusses Swedish Crime Fiction from the point of view of the world of publishing, and we have extracts from the work of <strong>Arne Dahl</strong>, <strong>Staffan Bruun</strong> and <strong>Viveca Sten</strong>. <strong>Paul Berf</strong> presents an overview of Swedish literature in Germany, and <strong>Laurie Thompson</strong> reports from the 2009 Gothenburg Book Fair.</p>
