<P><EM>The Thomas Gray Archive</EM> is a long-term research project devoted to
the life and work of eighteenth-century poet <A
href="materials/bio.shtml">Thomas Gray</A> (1716-1771). The <EM>Archive</EM>
makes available a comprehensive digital collection of high-quality
<A href="texts/">primary sources</A> and <A
href="materials/">secondary materials</A>.</P>
<P>The <EM>Archive's</EM> <EM><A href="texts/">Primary Texts</A></EM> section
contains: electronic editions of Gray's complete <A
href="texts/poems.shtml">poetry</A> with critical apparatus and extensive
collaborative commentary (currently
3495
variants and notes); selected <A href="texts/prose.shtml">prose
works</A>; a browsable calendar to Gray's complete <A
href="texts/letters.shtml">correspondence</A>; a <A
href="texts/concordance.shtml">concordance</A> to the poetry; a <A
href="texts/diglib.shtml">digital library</A> of primary sources (currently
11262
pages) and audio-visual media; and a <A href="texts/findaid.shtml">finding
aid</A> to Gray manuscripts.

<P>The <EM><A href="materials/">Materials</A></EM> section is comprised
entirely of secondary materials: a <A
href="materials/criticism.shtml">criticism</A> page; a <A
href="materials/bio.shtml">biographical sketch</A>; an introductory <A
href="materials/table.shtml">chronological table</A> of Gray's life and works;
a <A href="materials/glossary.shtml">glossary</A> of names and terms; a <A
href="materials/bib.shtml">select bibliography</A> (currently

items); a <A
href="materials/gallery.shtml">picture gallery</A>; and a list of <A
href="materials/links.shtml">links</A> to related online resources.
