woodturnings found in this
website are examples of my unique designs of that I show at local and
regional art fairs. The new woodturnings below are made from solid
burls with contrasting rims and bases of contrasting exotic woods and
inset with turquoise stone chips.&nbsp; Many of my woodturnings are
constructed from
hundreds of pieces of exotic wood which I glue together in intricate
patterns, called segmented woodturning in the US and&nbsp;polychromatic
in the UK.&nbsp; The patterns go completely through the turning. Visit

weeks to complete
a bowl or vase due to the woodturning's complexity and glue drying
time.&nbsp; I use a wood lathe to turn the glued assembly smooth. The
final finishing step is numerous coats of lacquer, buffed with a
beeswax/carnauba wax blend. Visit <a href="studio.html"><u>The Studio</u></a>
to see my tools and work area. I design my woodturnings using a pencil
and paper but I figure out how to build my designs using a computer.

<p><font face="Book Antiqua"><big>All woodturnings shown on this
website are "one of a kind" and may be sold at any time. Similar pieces
can be made on a commission basis but will never be exactly the same
due to differences in the wood and the whims of the artist.&nbsp;</big></font></p>

<p><font face="Book Antiqua"><big>Fellow woodturners might be
