<p style="margin-top: 0px; height: 60px;"><font face="Book Antiqua"><big>The
woodturnings found in this
website are examples of my unique designs of that I show at local and
regional art fairs. The new woodturnings below are made from solid
burls with contrasting rims and bases of contrasting exotic woods and
inset with turquoise stone chips. Many of my woodturnings are
constructed from
hundreds of pieces of exotic wood which I glue together in intricate
patterns, called segmented woodturning in the US and polychromatic
in the UK. The patterns go completely through the turning. Visit
my <a href="bowls.html"><u>Bowls</u></a> page to see some examples of
my work.</big></font></p>

</big></i></font><font face="Book Antiqua"><big>It may take several
weeks to complete
a bowl or vase due to the woodturning's complexity and glue drying
time. I use a wood lathe to turn the glued assembly smooth. The
final finishing step is numerous coats of lacquer, buffed with a
beeswax/carnauba wax blend. Visit <a href="studio.html"><u>The Studio</u></a>
to see my tools and work area. I design my woodturnings using a pencil
and paper but I figure out how to build my designs using a computer.
See the software I use to help construct my woodturnings on the <a href="software.html">Software</a> page.</big></font>
<p><font face="Book Antiqua"><big>All woodturnings shown on this
website are "one of a kind" and may be sold at any time. Similar pieces
can be made on a commission basis but will never be exactly the same
due to differences in the wood and the whims of the artist. </big></font></p>
<p><font face="Book Antiqua"><big>Fellow woodturners might be
interested in some of the other pages on my website. There are
instruction pages about designing segmented bowls using a <a href="GraphBowlDesign.html">No Math Method</a> and a <a href="PCBowlDesign.html">PC Method</a>. There are instruction pages
showing the photo sequence of construction steps for making two types
of segmented bowls, <a href="FrameMiterBowl.html">Basic Frame Miter</a>
and <a href="CompMiterBowl.html">Compound Miter</a>. There are two
pages with plans for constructing accurate ring-segment cutting sleds
for a table saw, <a href="framesled.html">Frame Miter Sled</a>
and <a href="compsled.html">Compound Miter Sled</a>. I have also
included a page that shows several interesting home-made tools I use in
my studio, see <a href="tools&jigs.html">Tools and Jigs</a>. The <a href="links.html">Links</a> page has hyperlinks to websites of other
segmented woodturners as well as tool and information websites that I
recommend. </big> </font></p>
<p><font face="Book Antiqua"><big>My name is Kevin Neelley and I live
in Lenexa, Kansas. I am a member of the Kansas City Woodturners which
is a local chapter of the American Association of Woodturners. I have
made over two hundred wooden bowls, vases, platters and other objects
in the thirteen years that I have been woodturning. Thank you for
visiting my website. If you have any comments or are interested in
